Ai Yamamoto (山本愛, Yamamoto Ai ^?, born March 24, 1982 in Sendai) is a female volleyball player from Japan. Her maiden name was Ai Otomo (大友愛, Ōtomo Ai^?).

Carrier

She competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, wearing the number #13 jersey. There she ended up in fifth place with the Japan women's national team. She played as a middle-blocker.
In 2006, she was two months pregnant when she had a shotgun wedding with Tatsuo Yamamoto, a professional beachvolleyball player.
In 2008, Hisamitsu Springs announced that she was to return to active duty.
In 2009, she moved to JT Marvelous.

In September 2011 due to right knee injury, Japan Volleyball Assosiation announced that she can not play in World Cup^[1].
